Homecrest Outdoor Living is excited to welcome Tracy Baumer as our new Director of Commercial Sales. In this position, Baumer will oversee and manage independent contract sales representatives and sales organizations to drive growth within the commercial market.
Baumer attained a bachelor’s degree in public relations and attended law school before stepping into her career in contract furniture sales. She began by developing new business and selling contract furniture for an office furniture dealership. Baumer has since worked in all aspects of the industry—as a manufacturer’s regional representative, a furniture franchise recruiter, and a manager and director at two furniture buying groups. Over the last decade, she has focused on business development across the 50 United States, managing 750 dealer locations and a full-scale industry training program.
“With her solid background in the commercial furniture industry and a knack for relationship-building, I am excited to have Tracy join Homecrest as the Director of Commercial Sales,” said Mark Bottemiller, Homecrest’s Vice President of Sales. “Her experience in developing business, managing partner relationships, and opening new markets will be pivotal in driving growth and exploring new opportunities for Homecrest’s contract offerings in the evolving post-pandemic commercial landscape.”
Throughout her career, Baumer has gained a breadth of experience in selling at various stages of development, strategizing on product promotion, and marketing new products. She is committed to building strong connections and following through on her word. She is known for her ability to assume various roles, balance multiple objectives at once, and streamline details to simplify an issue or goal.
“I hope to bring a unique perspective to the casual furniture industry and some insight into other avenues we can explore,” Baumer said. “I look forward to growing with Homecrest on the commercial side of business. The opportunities are exciting.”
Baumer is married with four children and two dogs. She loves to go boating on Lake Minnetonka in the summer and spends time skiing in the winter. She is a foodie and enjoys cooking and entertaining guests. Baumer also renovates houses and feels a great sense of accomplishment seeing her visions come to life.
